Things are going great here in GA! i love it so much! Its hard on a bike and its pouring outside to do missionary work! they encourage us (on bikes) to stay in when its super badly pouring outside! so we stay safe and keep from getting sick.. work has been really good tho! it was slow, but looking back at the week, and our #s were really good for the weather delays!! :) It was cool the other day, we were inside and i was getting bored and was like "elder fisher, when are we going out?" (it was pouring outside) he was like "right now" hahaha so we got all rain proofed we could and went out! ... i wrote u guys a letter yesterday in Sundays lay-over time! :) it tells the whole story! i put it in the mailbox this morning! so hopefully u guys will have it in a few days! :) thank you guys so much for the goodie box! :) i loved it! we ate like almost all of the cookies and half of the rice crispies so far! :) hahah
But ya, were keeping busy! we have exchanges tomorrow-thursday! and ima have a missionary from the powder springs area here on the bike with me! hahah! his name is Elder Fruean! hes somoan, if u remember mom, we actually saw his profile before i left for my mission! its crazy to think! ive been out almost 2 month! its sooo crazy! Alex Boose is going to Bosnia? or Chile? haha :) that's awesome! hes gonna be a great missionary! so ill be home for like 4 or so months and then he'll get home! thats crazy!
The biking has been great! it def helps keep some of the pounds off! hahah ive gained a pound or 2 so far! We have been getting alot of rain towards the end of last week especially! and it pours so bad here! like one of the first times it rained here i was like.. "elder fisher, look, its pouring!... he was like na man, just wait!" hahaha and then a few minutes later it was like someone had a massive bucket and was dumping it everywhere! that explains why its so green! hahah Theres so much history everywhere! its so crazy!
Again, i loved the box of goodies! :) ima have to get some souveniers together here and send them back to you guys soon! :) so u can see GA in a nut shell! :) I bet u guys are excited for Spring Break! hahah that sounds like tons of fun with the girls! :) do u guys have anything planned for the break? :) and picnics or anything? i miss those picnics in the warm, (not hot) sun! haha thats awesome! im so glad u guys are having fun in AZ! what movie did u guys see? :) mom, who do u thinks gonna win American Idol? :)
Aunt Susan wrote me an email today, saying a guy from up there in tucson was called to Georgia! but hes spanish Speaking! thats awesome! the Temples gonna open soon here! so its chaos everywhere! hahaha but we getta go like twice! once to walk through and the other time to direct parking! :) well if we make it through transfers the first week of transfers! :)
Missionary life is great! i love serving the lord! i have grown so much! its amazing! but i have been homesick a few times! slowly getting over it, i think its im just not use to all the talking to people, and when i would get upset at home i could go 2 the gym and get it out of me, or watch tv or something, but in the field, u can only turn to heavenly father! no one else really cares.. but im doing great! it makes u realize how much love u have for your family and how important missionary work is! it makes me happy that im able to be out here! and able to see blessings not only in my life, but the lives of our investigators and u guys at home! :)Marietta is really big! i don't know the population, but if i were to guess i would have to say like 200,000 or something, but we only cover half of marietta, and the other mission covers the other half of the city.. (Georgia Atlanta North Mission).. there's so much history everywhere! our area is like half suburbs/hoods/and country.. i don't remember that song haha i wish :) there's tons of history in GA! :) i'ma send shaun some pics prob later! hopefully he can get them to u guys! or maybe ill just send them to u guys! :)
Elder Fisher's from pocatello Idaho, he just turned 20 on the 5th! hahah but i gotta run! :)
Love you guys so much! look for my letters this week in the ,mail! :) Love Always and take care!

Mar 6, 2011: Letter from Dad to Eric
Hello Eric,
I hope your week has gone well! How is MK coming along? Have you been able to participate in presenting all the discussions you had on the books to do? Are your legs getting stronger with all the peddling? About how many miles a day do you average?
I started the TMC project "phase II" this week and have been on Mt. Lemmon three times this week stoning a tall fireplace about the height of the one in Overguard and doing it by myself. It's been a slow process. A week from tomorrow Kevin and Uncle Fred will be able to help for a week as they have Spring break coming up. That will be quite a relief.
Things are well here with everyone plugging along. Kevin went ice fishing up on the rim this past Saturday, (yesterday) with Danny and had a great time. Up from Payson on top before getting to Overguard is Willow Springs Lake. They were afraid to venture out on the ice but discovered it to be over a foot thick. They each got their limit of six all about 12 inches long. They slept at Christopher Creek the night previous in the bed of Danny's truck. Danny said he didn't sleep much with Kevin's snoring. He said that during the night as he was listening to Kevin snore that Kevin suddenly stopped breathing, paused, farted in his sleep, and then resumed snoring as he had before barely missing a beat.
Do you get a lot of meals fed you by members? Tonight we are having good old meat balls with rice. They are always nice and especially after fasting all day.
This morning as I was out back on the slab with Nicole and Gina, Nicole asked if Gina was adopted. I told her that Gina was and that she wasn't the only one. I told her that she also was adopted, that Mommy wasn't able to have any more children after four and that Heavenly Father brought us Nicole and Gina in another way, He wanted us to have our two little girls. She was good with that and has been happy all day. I don't know what Gina takes of all this but she just continues playing as little Gina. Nicole asked a lot more questions at dinner tonight like who her mother was. We told her and some of the circumstances of why Tanya felt it best that Nicole be raised by someone else. It was noble of Tanya to want the better life for Nicole. Tanya was happy also to find out that Nicole would be raised LDS. She thought that was a good religion. She had some good experience along the way somewhere with some Mormons. I didn't tell Nicole but I just remembered that Tanya wanted to carry Nicole full term verses aborting her. I'm sure glad she had character enough to finish bringing her to this world. I am so glad to have Nicole as my daughter as I am Gina also.
I hope I can send this out right now as I think I am no longer connected to the internet.
We love you much and pray for you. Have a wonderful week.
Love, Dad

Dear Eric,
So how have things been going for you there in Georgia? Are you keeping yourself busy? How is the bike riding? Have you been getting alot of rain? We have been in the 70's-low 80's. Getting nice and warm soon it will Spring. I like the spring but dread knowing that the rattlesnakes are waking up from their hibernation!!
I guess you got the box we sent, hopefully it is still edible!!
Things have been going pretty well here. The girls have a half day this Friday at school. Then all next week they have Spring Break! So I will have to keep them busy all week wish me luck!
Yesterday we went to a kids movie up at the foothills mall. We weren't sure how Gina would sit through it or not. But both girls did just great!! Of course the big bag of buttered popcorn helped a bunch!! Then we had lunch at Carl's Jr. And even went shopping too! So all in all it was a fun day!
I am watching American Idol. It was on tv. 3 days last week as they were eliminating the top 24. They narrowed it down to 14 now!! There are some pretty good singers this season. The girl from Tucson didn't make it through.
Oh yeah just to let you know about something. Alex Bosse got his mission call a few days ago. He reports on June 8th. He is going to a Chili Mission . I think his Mom said Bosnia? She said it will be cold there. He gets to see his brother Mathan for only a week before he leaves! well at least they get to see each other! So tell me what your missionary life has been like?! Are things how you expected them to be?
How big is Marietta? do they have alot of things to see there? Remember the song from Alan Jackson called Chattahoochie? Don't know if I spelled it right! But that river is in Marietta, Georgia I think! Check it out sometime. I know Trisha Yearwood and Alan Jackson are from there.
Where is your companion from? Glad you two get along! Well I better be going. hope to hear from you tomorrow!
Have a great week!
Love you Love Mom and family
